The 10th edition of Conversations A\Venir, organized in collaboration with Fondation BNP Paribas, will focus on the fascinating theme of “The Challenges of the Brain.” The program will feature an engaging panel discussion and an exclusive presentation by Stanislas Dehaene, a world-renowned neuroscientist and professor at the Collège de France.

Technological advances and the results of new experiments in the field of neuroscience are providing a better understanding of the complexity of the human brain and helping to anticipate its challenges. At the intersection of two worlds—the human brain and artificial intelligence-powered machines—a new horizon is emerging for the coexistence of Man and Machine. Could this ultimately enhance human cognitive abilities, offering new skills or enabling major innovations in health, education, or training? Or will the human brain become obsolete, outpaced by learning machines? These are just some of the open questions for participants in the panel discussion that will follow Stanislas Dehaene’s presentation.

Stanislas Dehaene is one of the leading experts in human cognition, recognized for his pioneering work on consciousness, learning, and the neural mechanisms underlying reading, calculation, and perception. As the chair of experimental cognitive psychology at the Collège de France, he has significantly contributed to advancing scientific understanding of the human brain.

The event will take place on October 28, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and promises stimulating discussions on the latest discoveries regarding the brain’s capabilities and challenges. The panelists for the roundtable discussion will be announced soon.
