The Women and Science Chair is organizing its 2nd International Scientific Symposium on February 11, 2025, during the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and in parallel with the AI Action Summit organized by the Élysée. The topic of women in artificial intelligence, already central to the future evolution of our societies, will thus be doubly in the spotlight.

Despite significant technological advances in AI, women remain largely underrepresented in the field. Fewer women pursue careers in artificial intelligence, whether due to persistent stereotypes, the lack of visible female role models in these professions, or unequal access to technical training. This disparity limits their influence in a rapidly growing sector that will shape the societal transformations of tomorrow.

The day will conclude with a roundtable discussion on the challenges of education and career orientation for women in the AI sector. This session will bring together experts and key players in the field and will be moderated by Jean Rognetta, journalist, founder of Qant, and editor at Project Syndicate.
