Speakers :

Marc Baudry: Professor of Economics at the University of Paris-Nanterre and head of the research programme CO2 prices and low-carbon innovation of the Climate Economics Chair

Philippe Delacote: Research Director at INRAe and head of the Agriculture and Forestry research programme of the Climate Economics Chair.

Olivier Massol: Professor of Economics at the IFP School of Engineering and head of the Climate Economics Chair’s Energy Transitions research programme.

Europe is one of the worldwide leaders in setting environmental and climate policies. We will review some of them, to the light of the latest developments proposed in the context of the RePowerEU framework, prompted by the Russian-Ukranian war, and the recent decisions on how to reach carbon neutrality in 2050. We will discuss the EU-ETS credibility, policies to decarbonize electricity demand, carbon offsetting.
