The climate skeptic discourse: a reactionary rhetoric.

Summary The article examines the positions taken in the public debate on climate policies. Arguments for and against climate policies are arranged in three antagonistic pairs, following the classification established by Albert Hirschman. The discourse of climate skeptics appears to be modelled on "reactionary" rhetoric, while that of environmentalists adopts "progressive" rhetoric.
