Summary This chapter addresses the issue of climate change from the point of view of its consequences and the social, economic and political transformations that it could generate. As the vulnerabilities of societies to climate change and the adaptation capacities to be developed cannot be analysed exhaustively, a selection of issues that concern Aquitaine in particular are addressed: cities and demography, forests, coastline, water resources, tourism.
