Summary The aim of this experiment is to provide tools that allow characterisation of waste biodegradation state at a laboratory scale. Four geophysical methods, self-potential, electrical resistivity, temporal and spectral induced polarization, will be monitored from the beginning to the end of municipal solid waste biodegradation cycle. For this reason five columns were filled with waste and equipped with measurement electrodes. The measurements were started in February and will continue until the waste has completely degraded.
