The variety of applications of the principle of subsidiarity.

Summary Organized around the principle of subsidiarity, the eligibility and the amount of many social benefits are conditioned on the current resources of the applicant, but also on the value - or even the composition - of his or her assets and the expected contribution of his or her family group. However, the assessment of the contributory capacity of the applicant and his/her relatives varies significantly from one benefit to another. In the case of ASH, the principle of subsidiarity is still widely applied. Various scenarios for relaxation or adjustment are presented here, based on the work carried out by the HCFEA.
