Summary The back cover states: "Prejudices, beliefs, loss aversion, overconfidence, sense of fairness, risk appetite, competitiveness, etc. Whether we are employers, employees or job seekers, a multitude of psychological and cognitive factors guide our choices and behaviors in the job market. Taking into account the emotional and psychological forces that, alongside economic incentives and institutions, affect the functioning of this market could make employment policies more effective. This is the interest of the approach proposed by behavioral economics: to improve our understanding of job-seeking behavior and discrimination in hiring, to measure the selection and incentive effects of the level of remuneration on motivation, and to shed light on the role of trust in the construction of relational contracts.
