It also intends to contribute to the creation of new academic and industrial partnerships. An education at the service of changing economies and companies The SEGF department trains high-level engineer-managers capable of mobilising their skills in engineering sciences, economics and finance to create and implement complex projects at the international level and in the service of transitions. The department’s teaching integrates the most recent developments in academic research, providing students with theoretical frameworks in economics and finance, analytical and quantitative skills, as well as an open-minded knowledge of contemporary debates and ongoing industrial transformations. The SEGF department offers two courses: – Economic engineer: expertise in economic calculation, geographical and territorial economics, transport economics and development economics; – Financial engineer: expertise in corporate finance and project financing and green finance. Since the start of the 2020 academic year, École des Ponts ParisTech has been offering 3rd year students a one-semester programme focused on sustainable and green finance, thus taking into account the needs of companies to comply with the Paris climate agreement and the new issues that are emerging regarding the financing of environmentally friendly activities and assets.
