Following the success of its Data Lab, composed of a team of data science R&D engineers, the ILB has launched the ESG Lab 25 October 2022. The objective is to develop tailor-made operational solutions and advance the state of the art to meet the needs of public and private practitioners in sustainable finance.

During this event in hybrid, the Institut Louis Bachelier (ILB) presented Pladifes, a new research programme they coordinate, and hosted a roundtable about the existing initiatives aiming at facilitating the access to extra-financial data.

Thibaud Barreau, Data Scientist (ILB) and João Paulo Sertã, ESG Financial Data Analyst (ILB) unveiled a first tool: a mapping of all types of conventional and alternative data providers having relevant data to work on sustainable finance related use cases.

During the roundtable moderated by Stéphane Voisin (Head of the Green and Sustainable Finance programme at ILB), Jean Boissinot (Head of Secretariat, NGFS) and Leah Dahmani (the European Single Access Point (ESAP), European Commission, Policy Officer, DG FISMA) introduced their projects and discussed the future of the access to extra-financial data.

This event was held on 13 June 2022. The author Hippolyte d’Albis, research director at the CNRS, professor at the Paris School of Economics and president of the Cercle des économistes, presented the main observations of his work during the writing of his book “Les séniors et l’emploi”.

The replay of the FaIR (Finance and Insurance Reloaded) webinar “Cyber Risks, Cyber Insurance and Financial Stability” organised by the Institut Louis Bachelier in partnership with ACPR, AEFR and the Institut des Actuaires. The conference was held online on 7 December 2021.

The new edition of Conversations A\Venir “Les enjeux du marché du travail post-COVID-19” took place on 18 November 2021 online with the intervention of Stéphane Carcillo, professor affiliated to the Economics Department of Sciences Po and head of the OECD’s Employment and Income Division and Jean-Michel Beacco, Director General of the Institut Louis Bachelier.
