Launch of the ESG Lab, 25 October 2022
Following the success of its Data Lab, composed of a team of data science R&D engineers, the ILB has launched the ESG Lab 25 October 2022. The objective is to develop tailor-made operational solutions and advance the state of the art to meet the needs of public and private practitioners in sustainable finance.

ESG Database Project: surfing the sustainability wave, 22 September 2022
During this event in hybrid, the Institut Louis Bachelier (ILB) presented Pladifes, a new research programme they coordinate, and hosted a roundtable about the existing initiatives aiming at facilitating the access to extra-financial data.
Thibaud Barreau, Data Scientist (ILB) and João Paulo Sertã, ESG Financial Data Analyst (ILB) unveiled a first tool: a mapping of all types of conventional and alternative data providers having relevant data to work on sustainable finance related use cases.
During the roundtable moderated by Stéphane Voisin (Head of the Green and Sustainable Finance programme at ILB), Jean Boissinot (Head of Secretariat, NGFS) and Leah Dahmani (the European Single Access Point (ESAP), European Commission, Policy Officer, DG FISMA) introduced their projects and discussed the future of the access to extra-financial data.
