Climate Economics Chair (CEC) – A Research Platform Dedicated to Climate Change Economics

Founded in 2010, the Climate Economics Chair (CEC) at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL is an academic research platform dedicated to the economics of climate change. It combines research, education, and professional dialogue to foster a better understanding of climate and economic challenges.

As a multidisciplinary hub, the CEC facilitates exchanges between academic research, public institutions, and private companies, with a strong emphasis on research-based education. The Chair currently hosts over twenty ongoing PhD theses, covering a broad spectrum of low-carbon transition issues from the perspectives of firms, citizens, and policymakers.

Our PhD students receive top-tier training in environmental, energy, and climate economics, leading to diverse career paths in academia, public institutions, and the private sector. The CEC pursues scientific excellence, as evidenced by its numerous publications in high-impact journals.
