Finance and Sustainable Development and Quantitative Approaches Chair

Scientific project
The objective assigned to the “Finance and Sustainable Development” Chair is to contribute to the production of knowledge and methods that make it possible to evaluate, quantify and manage the risks weighing on the sustainable development of societies through the intersection of quantitative finance and the various fields of the economy – in particular, environmental economics and the economics of energy raw materials. The aim is to integrate them fully into the financial functioning of the economy, thereby providing a means for shareholders and political and economic decision-makers to express societal choices via financial choices.
For the sake of clarity, the Chair’s research topics have been grouped around 5 themes:
- Medium-field games
- Ecological rates and climate risk economics
- Energy market finance, CO2 markets
- Biodiversity, agriculture and exhaustible resources
- Long-term risk and quantitative methods
