  • Design and implementation of an original device to fight obesity in adults: lasting impact on morphological parameters and physical activity habits.

    Coralie DUMOULIN
    2018
The literature on obesity seems to provide a great deal of knowledge about the implementation of measures to combat obesity, but also about the practice of physical activity (PA). However, certain elements such as the modalities of structuring physical activity still need to be studied in depth. This research work, conducted in the form of action research, draws on both field data and literature. This research allows us to measure the benefits of an experimental field device built by taking into account both the recommendations of public policies (National Health Nutrition Program or Obesity Plan) and those of the literature. We were particularly interested in the benefits linked to the morphological parameters of the persons and we also noted the changes in the physical activity profile and sedentary behaviors. Finally, we tried to understand the elements that seemed to interfere or on the contrary to help the weight loss process, through the study of the interactions between the variables of physical activity, anthropometry, quality of life and psychological well-being within the framework of the proposed long-term PA program, but also the effect of the weight loss and the modification of the activity profile on the quality of life and the psychological well-being of the participantsThis research work has made it possible to provide elements for the management of this population suffering from obesity by making available to professionals in the sector a great deal of scientific and practical knowledge. They also demonstrate the interest and complementarity of field research Literature about obesity seems to bring knowledge regarding the implementation of measures to fight obesity but also in physical practice.
