Summary This article highlights the role of internal communities of experts in supporting innovation. Based on the case of a technology company, it presents the piloted communities, composed of experts from different business lines (R&D and downstream), created by the organization to cover strategic fields of competence related to key innovation issues. This article shows precisely how these communities contribute to innovation, in particular through their role in supporting decisions at different phases of the innovation process.
