Summary When we talk about ecology, we talk about changes. But there have always been changes. However, the sensitive question is that of the capacity of ecosystems, in particular those that are now anthropized, to adapt: the capacity to mitigate the effects at the global and local levels and the capacity to adapt "locally" to the local effects of global change. Indeed, the capacity to adapt locally depends on the speed and amplitude of change.
