Summary The objective of this thesis is to provide new theoretical and empirical insights into the formation of entrepreneurial opportunities. To better understand this phenomenon, we mobilized two main approaches, the discovery approach and the opportunity creation approach. A quantitative study based on a questionnaire was conducted with Tunisian entrepreneurs in order to determine the factors of formation of the entrepreneurial opportunity. The results show that in the Tunisian context, the discovery of opportunities is dominant given that the Tunisian entrepreneurial ecosystem does not promote innovation and opportunity creation. This research work contributes to the knowledge of entrepreneurship practices and the modes of support for entrepreneurs.
