Innovation activity and networks of agri-food companies: a rural-urban difference?

Summary Can rural firms be as innovative as urban firms? Three sets of factors are taken into account to understand their innovation behavior: the spatial environment and the capture of external resources . organizational choices . marketing and export strategies. We show that the innovation behavior of firms does not differ according to their location and is essentially the result of organizational strategies and market positioning.
